Governor's Message
I am honored to serve you and Rotary as
District Governor for the 1995-1996 Rotary Year. It is a
special privilege to
serve this year with Herb Brown and to have an opportunity to work
with his theme of
Act with Integrity,
Serve with Love and Work for Peace.
I encourage each of
you to make an effort to embrace this theme and make it work for
you, your family, and
our local and world
communities. When you think about it, integrity and high ethical
standards are what
Rotarians are all
about.
President Herb has
also reaffirmed his interest in and concern for the family as the
basic unit of our society.
Peace must begin at
home. You can shun the violent words and actions that seem so common
today. You
can resolve family
conflicts and you can and should make your family the most important
thing in the world.
What an opportunity
we have this year to make a difference! I'll do my best and I hope
each of you will
also.
